Burns Benson grew up enjoying the outdoors in Delaware where he developed a great appreciation for the nature and the environment. Burns now resides in Westfield, New Jersey.
Burns is a licensed Landscape Architect in the state of New Jersey. Burns received his undergraduate degree in Landscape Horticulture from the University of Delaware in 1999. Before re-locating to New York, Burns was a successful horticulturist for a private golf club in Baltimore where he was able to utilize his plant care skills and creative ability while gaining interpersonal and business experience. During that time Burns attended graduate school and earned a Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture from Morgan State University. Upon graduating and relocating to Staten Island in 2003, Burns worked for a large-scale design/build firm in New York. He has been in charge of the design department at Paul Keyes Associates since 2005.
